Legal Not to Evacuate Guantánamo Detainees in Medical Emergencies, Pentagon Says by CHARLIE SAVAGE

The Pentagon has decided that it would be lawful not to evacuate a detainee held at the prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, in a medical emergency, even though American troops at Guantánamo would be brought to the United States for treatment. This document was obtained by The New York Times in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.
